Resolving Complaints about solicitors ?

Welcome to the Independent Test for Legal Complaints...

In October 2007, the new Legal Services Act was finally granted Royal Assent.  For at least 30 years solicitors and the Law Society of England and Wales have staunchly resisted the will of Parliament and the public.  Changes to the way "the profession" is regulated are expected until at least 2012 - this will no-doubt be against a background of strong resistance to change from a massively overpaid and (often) corrupt system.

What pressure can we, the public, put on the Government and the Law Society to finally bring this "house" into order?

Will the Act make any difference?  Have things changed at all yet?  Are they changing?
