Legal Regulation Review

An independent review of the regulation of law firms, led by the Rt. Hon. Lord Hunt of Wirral MBE

I had a spot of bother getting the two PDF's from the site below.  At first I though it was my copy of acrobat but having saved them (rather than opening them) I have no trouble.  Is it the snow?  Leaves on the line?  Who knows...

If you're having trouble try these links... Call For Evidence and Appendices

I took the liberty of copying the saved files - all rights acknowledged - see below ... but it seems to me that the "owner" is going balls-out to advertise and distribute the documents - so I suspect they won't mind and indeed will welcome this second (third?  fourth? nth?) source.

Do they really need a .com AND a .org.uk - well, why not?  - time is limited.  You have until 9th April 2009 to make Lord Hunt's dreams come true...

Lord Hunt told The Lawyer: "I want my inbox to be as full as possible. This is the moment when people should speak out about how the profession should be regulated in this rapidly changing environment."

Fill your boots :-) And enjoy the snow :-) ... Spenser, 5th Feb. 2009

Is this the chance to have your say?

The responses that we receive will help Lord Hunt and his team to answer the two questions which are at the heart of this Review:

What new regulatory challenges and opportunities does the Legal Services Act create?
What are the characteristics of 'good regulation'?

The consultation period will end on Thursday 9 April 2009.

Please submit your response to legalregulationreview@beachcroft.co.uk

by hard copy to Rt Hon The Lord Hunt of Wirral MBE, c/o 100 Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1BN.
