Notice to MP's - The Courts as Regulators of solicitors

For the first time since 2003 I will have a hearing in public (so says His Honour Judge John Mitchell)

I want some witnesses on Monday November 16th 2009.  So far my best efforts have produced ONE definite and ONE who would like to attend if possible - I am grateful for these, but time marches on and I'm worried I may end up with nobody.

Who would be more credible than an MP ... maybe MY MP, Dan Norris?

I have sent the following "Notice/Letter" to all MP's via the MensAid "megaphone"

http://www.mensaid.com/megaphone/index.htm

I may be dismissed by the majority as a "nutter" so playing the numbers game may help - even a single, credible and independent MP (as a witness) could make a difference (who knows?)   Many of our MP's ARE concerned about "regulation" (and the lack thereof) of solicitors - maybe ONE Right Honourable Lady or Gentleman will decide this is worth looking into and hop on a tube on Monday morning?  Well, I can but hope...

Subject: Solicitor Misconduct - The High Court's role as "regulator" of solicitors

I do hope that no fiend has been renting the cellars again and that you survive this November 5th without mishap!  Enough said, this is serious.

The Legal Services Act was granted Royal Assent on 30th October 2007.  The public was supposed to get a better deal from the "regulators" of solicitors.  Unfortunately little seems to have changed in 2009.  The following "light" email may jog some memories...

http://www.lcs-test.co.uk/Re_LCS_SRA.htm

Despite the Right Honourable Jack Straw sending that item to the MoJ, nothing seems to have improved.  However...

"From time immemorial judges have exercised over solicitors . . a disciplinary jurisdiction in cases of misconduct..." Lord Atkin

It seems the Courts (our independent judiciary) are really the PRIMARY "regulators" of solicitors.  The question is: Will the Courts ACT where the LCS, SRA and OLSO have turned ever-blind eyes?  With this in mind, and given the failure of the "new" SRA and LCS I write with some news...

I realise that you cannot even discuss this matter in the House, but many of you ARE interested in the subject matter and I can see no reason why you shouldn't drop by Gee Street on 16th - at very least it would be nice to see my own MP, Dan Norris.  I would like some credible witnesses to be present.

So...

On Monday 16th November 2009, at 10:00am, I am due to go before His Honour Judge John Mitchell in The High Court of Justice, Principal Registry of the Family Division, Gee St. Court House.

Solicitors are Officers of the Court.

I will be arguing that Her Majesty the Queen would not want Her people to be cheated by Her Officers of the Court.  I will be seeking a wasted costs order against solicitors who were negligent and hid the truth from the Courts for over five years.  The hearing (for the first time) will be in public.  I am an Electronics Engineer and I go as an unsupported Litigant in Person.

Some background details may be found here
http://www.lcs-test.co.uk/highcourt.htm

The hearing is hopefully to decide upon transfer to the Court of Appeal where I hope to obtain a ruling that will prevent what has happened to me, at the hands of solicitors, from happening to anyone else.  If successful this will impact on solicitors "costs" and "estimates of costs".

I am hoping some witnesses will attend so that justice will not only be done, but will be SEEN to have been done.  I hope to arrive at Gee street at around 9:00am.  Please call if you would like further details before or after 16/11/2009.
