| Have you made an official complaint about a solicitor in the past 10 years? Better still, have you ever complained to the new LCS or the SRA? If the answer to either question is "yes" then you are qualified to take part in this which could help many people... it may even help you! Please read on.... |
This survey is restricted to England and Wales - i.e. to those of you who have made official complaints about a solicitor to the regulatory arm of The Law Society of England and Wales in the past 10 years.
If we can obtain some real statistics from real complainants, they may tell us a number of things:-
| The complainants view of the regulators - were they any good? We will have a measure. | |
| Have things improved since the Legal Services Act was granted Royal Assent? | |
| Are the complaints about the same firms / solicitors or are they more widespread? | |
| Who knows what else? Your responses are everything! |
A serious set of statistics could be used to lobby Government, the LCS, the SRA and the OLSCC. Statistics showing particular problems, or repeated problems would be most useful.
Results... The survey results will be continuously available... they will grow over time.
Help Us to advertise this survey... The more people who participate the better the results will be. Do you know anyone who qualifies to take part? Supporters, website owners, please click here.
A serious survey needs validation...
We will ask for your email address and we will send you a single email so that you can confirm that you are genuine. We also log your IP address to enable us to spot abuse. Important! You may only complete the survey more than once if you have complained about more than one firm of solicitors. This is important - any any hint of abuse will force us to disregard those results we suspect - which would be a waste.
Nobody will see your email address or your IP address and we will not SPAM you or allow anyone else access to your personal details. The details will be used only to prevent abuse of the survey.
If you would like to hear from us in the future then you must opt in - details at the end of the survey.
